Celebrating Our 76th Anniversary

 

　

Taiyo Bussan Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that we will celebrate our 76th anniversary on August 30, 2026, marking our establishment in 1950.

 

Our business began in Kobe, Japan, supplying textile materials and engaging in trading activities.
In 1951, we transitioned to a specialized trading company, and in 1954, we established our first overseas office in Tehran, Iran, laying the foundation for our expansion into the Middle East market.

Since the late 1950s, we have steadily expanded both our product range and geographic reach.
Our early success included textile exports to Saudi Arabia and large-scale shipments of home appliances, such as washing machines, to South Africa.
In 1962, we opened an office in Johannesburg, further strengthening our presence in Africa.

From the 1970s onward, we focused on air conditioning equipment exports to Saudi Arabia, achieving annual shipments of 100,000 units by 1984.
In 1985, we launched our own brand “TAIYO” and opened a branded retail shop in Dubai, enhancing our footprint in the Middle East and African markets.

We have continued to expand our global network by establishing overseas subsidiaries in locations such as Hong Kong and Singapore, enabling us to respond flexibly to changing market environments.
In recent years, we have also strengthened our business foundation through the reconstruction of our Kobe headquarters in 2019 and the relocation of our Tokyo office in 2024.

Today, we have built a strong track record of business with partners in more than 65 countries, primarily across the Middle East and Africa. Leveraging our extensive local networks and decades of experience, we provide comprehensive support for international trade, from negotiation and logistics to documentation and customs procedures.

While the global business environment continues to evolve, we remain committed to maintaining stable operations and strong partnerships by adapting quickly and leveraging our on-the-ground expertise.

As we celebrate 76 years of history, we will continue to serve as a bridge between Japan and the world, supporting our clients’ international business with reliability and dedication.
